Having a two factor authentication solution implemented within my site by TeleSign really made sure that my customers were verified. What I really needed was a way to securely match up each child to a list approved by each parent and have a way to document and maintain this list. The agency coordinator pointed me in the direction of TeleSign, who had worked with other day care centers in my area. TeleSign understood the importance of keeping my site safe. They suggested a two factor authentication solution which not only gave me the ability to satisfy the state requirements but a great way to market my services as well. Two factor authentication works like this. When the parents register on my site they are prompted to enter a special code, called a PIN number. The PIN number is generated by TeleSign and is totally unique to each registration. The number is sent by text message or voice message to the telephone number they provide upon registration which makes it really easy from a customer convenience perspective.. Once they enter the PIN they are uniquely verified by my site and can safely enter any personal information about their child and create a list of approved individuals. The site goes one step further and requires the approved individual to register in the same manner, thus creating a second layer of security. |
